Class Descriptions:
Drawing Focus:
Using pencil and charcoal, explore drawing techniques such as shading, perspective, drawing from observation, and more.
Watercolors:
Explore the colorful world of watercolors as you learn techniques and strategies for painting with this versatile medium.
Ink & Watercolor:
Pair watercolor techniques with ink embellishments to create unique and beautiful images.
Digital Art & Illustration:
Create digital images and characters using online platforms such as ProCreate. Students must bring their own device (laptop/iPad).
Art Portfolio Development:
High school students looking to apply to visual/studio art programs for college will work on creating an art portfolio for applications. Time can be spent on the application process itself and/or in developing works to include with submissions.
Ballet:
Learn the foundational skills of ballet or focus on a specific area to improve your technique.
Jazz:
Explore this exciting dance genre as you learn phrases and steps inspired by the jazz style of music and movement.
Improv:
Learn how to improvise and create movement based on selected music, themes, and/or emotions.
Modern and/or Contemporary:
Modern and contemporary dance explore fluid movements and abstract forms to portay ideas and emotions.
Musical Theater:
Learn steps and phrases to dance along with your favorite musical theater stage productions!
